This nationally recognised food safety training course is designed for individuals working in roles where they must monitor and control food safety hazards and respond to non-conformance ,particularly within the health and community services sectors.
It is ideal for workers who prepare, provide, and serve food to vulnerable groups, including elderly people, young children and babies, pregnant women, and those with medical conditions, immune deficiencies, or food allergies.
To complete the course, participants must demonstrate their practical food handling skills through a third-party observation, conducted in a real food preparation environment such as a commercial kitchen, catering production line, or community food service.
Assessments may be completed at the participant’s place of work or through volunteer roles in settings like community centres, sporting clubs, or local councils.
Students must be employed or have access to a suitable volunteer placement with an observer who can validate their performance using a third-party report form.
Certificates are issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.
