Course Description
This course is designed for supervisors responsible for managing the day-to-day implementation of food safety programs across entire organisations, food processing, or handling areas.
It specifically targets workers who oversee food preparation and meal distribution to vulnerable populations such as the elderly, children and infants, pregnant women, and individuals with medical conditions, immune deficiencies, or allergies.
Participants must demonstrate practical food safety skills through a third-party observation conducted in environments like commercial kitchens, catering production lines, or standard food preparation facilities.
Assessments can take place at the participant’s workplace or through volunteering at community centres, sports clubs, or local councils.
Important Note: Students must be employed or volunteering in a suitable role with access to a third-party observer who verifies their performance using a report form.
Certificates are issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.
Full details of this unit of competency can be viewed via the National Training Register.
Please ensure that you read and understand the entry and assessment requirements listed below prior to enrolling. Particularly for nationally recognised units of competency to ensure that you will be able to complete any workplace specific or video creation and upload tasks that may be included.
