Course Description
This 100% online food safety supervisor skill set (Levels 1 & 2 combined) is specifically designed for professionals in the hospitality, transport, and food distribution sectors. The course provides a thorough understanding of the critical roles and responsibilities of a food safety supervisor, covering the full food safety process to ensure safe handling and compliance with industry standards at all times.
Participants must demonstrate their practical food safety skills through a third-party workplace observation, which can be completed in various food handling environments such as commercial kitchens, catering production lines, or food preparation areas with industry-standard facilities.
Observations may be conducted at the participant’s workplace or through volunteering at community centres, sports clubs, or local council venues.
Please note that students need to be employed or secure a volunteer position in a suitable food handling environment where a qualified third-party observer can verify and document their practical performance using an official observation form.
Important Note: This Skill Set does not provide the NSW Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certificate. For those working in NSW requiring an FSS certificate, it is recommended to complete the NSW-specific Food Safety Supervisor course.
Certificates for this course are issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd, RTO 90909.
